When you enter the Heber Valley, its pristine rolling hills and mountain air seem to alter one’s state of being. Like stepping through the wardrobe into Narnia, there is something magical and otherworldly about the mountain town just miles/minutes from the well-heeled (yet still resplendent) swank of Park City.
In Heber, the air seems crisper. The pace a bit slower. But the mixture of clean air, small town charm and mountain splendor awe and inspire any artist, making it the perfect backdrop and home for Innovative Custom Jewelry Co.
Heidi and Micah Moeller are the dynamic duo behind Innovative. In addition to onsite retail sales, the company offers in-house custom manufacturing services.
For more than a decade, jeweler and CEO Micah Moeller has designed fine jewelry – from western and modern pieces to custom anniversary jewelry and wedding rings.
“Micah started making jewelry at Heber Valley’s Wasatch High School, where he quickly excelled and began focusing on his passion for making fine jewelry. By the time he attended college at Utah Valley University, Micah was already setting diamonds as a jeweler at Park City Jewelers. After graduation, Micah began working for Heber Valley’s local jewelry store where he continued to learn and perfect his passion for fine jewelry design, construction, and repair.” — www.innovativecustomjewelry.com
Fast forward to 2018. Micah took over as Heber Valley’s jeweler opening his own shop—refining his craft with a focus on custom jewelry and the manufacturing process. While “location-location-location!” is the battle cry in real estate, a crucial piece of marketing and sales for Innovative included purchasing the building they were currently leasing.
“The goal is always to get the deal done so we can take care of the customer,” Olivia Leishman Loan Officer USBLF explained. “Sometimes, that means working a few different avenues to ultimately help the small business succeed. In this case, Innovative Custom Jewelry needed some additional capital to secure a specialized SBA504 loan to help buy their new building. USBLF was able to step in and provide additional financing to help the project go through.”
